The Journey 40 top case by Hepco and Becker is meant to be an all-around type of top case. Whether it's ADV or Street riding, this case can be right at home on your bike. It's also universal which means you can mount it to the existing rack of your bike if it is suitable.

The 40-liter size is right in the sweet spot for cases. It's useful but not too large. Large enough to fit a helmet and a few other items, this case is a great starter for most riders.

If you are looking for the non-universal Journey 40 that attaches to a Hepco and Becker rear rack like the Alurack or Easyrack, that version of the top case is found HERE. 

Included is the universal plate which is engineered to be as easy as possible to attach to a non-Hepco and Becker rack. Various hardware is also included to help with the installation. Once mounted on your rack, the top case is easily attached by sliding it on the mount until you hear that click.

Perfect size, good look.

I use my Tuono to commute whenever I can. Ive always using backpacks but getting luggage for the bikes I prefer to ride usually isn't an option. Getting this case to go along with the H&B Sport Rack (Some modification needed for the plate) has been a great way to get my 23 Tuono Factory from good to perfect. Now I can take tools to help a friend, go to the store, and carry all of my work gear and a gym bag to work with no problems at all!

Well made solid top case and waterproof

This was the perfect size case for my wifes Ninja 400. She is able to easily store her helmet and other items.

This will perfect for a road trip and looks good on the bike.

Very solid build and locking.

The rack design fits right where your rear seat is, so case is weighted over the rear seat. Perfect on this light bike.

Solid German Engineering

While the Aprilia Tuono is a amazing street bike, it doesn't have many useful luggage options for sport touring but Hepco & Becker to the rescue!

I purchased a Sportrack to use as a base for the universal mounting plate for the Journey 40 Top Case. The mounting plate fit very securely onto the Sportrack.

Note: there is not much clearance in the pillion area of the Tuono so you will need to use 30mm shorter screws to attach the universal mounting plate to the Sportrack.

The Journey 40 is well constructed and can hold quite a bit. Easily a size large full face helmet and change of clothes. For commuting, I can fit my messenger bag with 15" laptop, with a change of clothes and shoes. Can easily fit enough clothes and toiletries for a weekend getaway.

The case is easy to open/close and latch/unlatch. The weather seal is well designed and should stand up to torrential rain. The carry handle is nicely integrated and doesn't look like an appendage.

The proportions and shape of the Journey 40 fit well with the Tuono. The case is about as wide as the tank, and the black plastic matches the black on the rear of the bike. Because the case is on the pillion, it doesn't hang far off the rear of the bike. The Tuono looks like a compact sport tourer.
