Project Bikes
Below you will find all of the project bikes we have owned throughout the years
Kawasaki KLR 650
2011 — Inaugural Project Vehicle
Our first project bike, acquired the year we started in 2011. It was immediately outfitted top to bottom for adventure duty, and later transitioned over to Amphibious Motobags that strapped right onto the side carriers. The KLR 650 is a well-known bike in the adventure community and has only had two iterations — an amazing feat by itself. The original model ran 20 years, from 1987 to 2007, which we still provide a side carrier, rear rack, and crash bar for. These bikes are known for being bulletproof and have even been used by the US military.

Yamaha Super Tenere
2011 — Heavyweight Adventure Tourer
Soon after the KLR 650 we acquired a 2011 Yamaha Super Tenere, which took outfitting a bike to a whole new level — comprehensive Hepco & Becker protection and luggage plus a long list of touring and protection extras, right down to an easy-up lever for raising this beast onto its center stand when fully loaded for adventure. This bike is Yamaha's answer to the heavyweight adventure touring segment, competing with the likes of the R1200GS, V-Strom, and KTM models. All around it's a great bike for the value, with a digital dash, customizable traction control, two drive modes, ride-by-wire accelerator, and ABS.

Honda NC700X
DCT Transmission Technology
The Honda NC700X is one of the few motorcycles offered with either a manual or DCT shiftless transmission, similar to a scooter. It's unconventional in other ways too — the engine is essentially a Honda Fit car engine chopped in half, and the fuel tank sits under the rear passenger seat. That frees up onboard storage where a typical gas tank would go, big enough for a helmet and easy to access. We outfitted this bike for adventure-commuting duty with a full set of Hepco & Becker protection and luggage plus finishing touches front and rear.

2014 — Naked Sport Touring Build
The BMW S1000R is the naked version of the S1000RR sport bike, launched in 2014 with an update in 2017. The defining differences are the straight handlebar and upright seating position. Both bikes share the same engine, with the S1000R tuned for more usable low-end power — going from a claimed 190 to 160 horsepower. We built this one as a long-distance touring machine, adding protection, ergonomics, and a full soft-luggage setup.

Ducati Diavel
Ducati's First True Cruiser
Ducati's first true cruiser, built to compete with the likes of the Harley-Davidson V-Rod — a hit out of the park for both Ducati and Moto Machines. We've sold hundreds of luggage sets for this bike. It's still in production today alongside the XDiavel, the main difference being a forward foot-control placement. This project bike was bought used from a customer, so the rear Alurack and C-Bow brackets were already installed. We livened it up with the latest Hepco & Becker Orbit C-Bow cases and matching top case, plus a passenger backrest for a comfortable ride. If you're debating a Diavel — go for it. The sheer power available at the wrist is unbelievable.
