EICMA 2025: International Exhibition of Cycles, Motorcycles, and Accessories

EICMA, or Esposizione Internazionale del Ciclo, Motociclo, Accessori, which translates to: International Exhibition of Cycles, Motorcycles, and Accessories is held every year in beautiful Milan, Italy.

This event is known for bringing moto enthusiasts from all corners of the world to see the latest in new motorcycle releases, gear you can’t miss, and the general camaraderie that only happens when you have enough people with a common interest in a single location.

This year was nothing short of spectacular, with over 600,000 visitors in attendance. It also featured over 730 exhibitors from 50 countries and more than 2,000 brands - so there really was something for everyone. One popular attraction at this year's event was their 20th anniversary of MotoLive, an outdoor arena covering over 650,000 square feet.

In it, you could witness everything from races to acrobatic shows to trials, to competitions with twin-cylinder adventure bikes. There was even an unforgettable Champions Charity Race broadcast live on television, bringing together twelve motorsport legends for a great cause.

Exhibition Highlights 

One popular exhibition was “Desert Queens: A JOURNEY INTO THE MYTH OF THE DAKAR”. Produced in honor of the world’s most famous adventurous rally competition, this exhibit tells the story of 40+ years of Dakar history via 31 iconic motorcycles marking the different periods in the competition’s history.

It features the Yamaha XT500, BMW R80 GS, Honda XRV750 Africa Twin RD04, KTM 450 Rally and many more.

City dwellers found their home at the Y.U.M exhibit in its first return since 2023. And it’s more fun than ever before - giving visitors the opportunity to test ride 40+ motorcycles and scooters in a “course” setup. This asphalt jungle covered over a huge space - so there was plenty of opportunity to test out the different options available. Safety gear was also provided.

Safety wasn’t just a theme for those test riding different motorcycles and scooters, there was also an area dedicated to exactly this topic. They did so by featuring startups, law enforcements, and institutions offering some of the most exciting advances in safety and technology.

Top 10 Motorcycle Debuts and Reveals

Aside from some unforgettable exhibitions, there were plenty of exciting motorcycle debuts and concept reveals at EICMA 2025. Here are some of the releases that we’re most excited about from the event.

Benelli’s Latest Edition in their Crossover Line

If you’re an enthusiast for the Crossover line, the updated Benelli TRK 602 X will likely catch your eye. It features a more fluid design, a modern chassis, and a new 554 cc twin-cylinder engine cranking out a cool 56hp. Add in a more advanced suspension, 19” and 17” spoked wheels, dual disc brakes and modern technology to satisfy even the savviest of riders, and you’ve got a bike that is screaming to be taken out on the open road.

MV Augusta - Setting the Gold Standard for Speed

Since its release in 2001, the Brutale has been widely recognized as one of the top middle weight naked bikes on the market. It is fast. Like, really, really fast, with many models reaching a top speed of over 148 mph, with the Brutale 1000 going from 0 to 60 in just 3 seconds and hitting an eye popping 187 mph.

So what better place than its home country to release the Brutale Serie Oro? It features a 931cc three cylinder engine with a counter-rotating crankshaft. Add in some other upgrades throughout the bike’s mechanics and you can expect to reach 148hp and 78ft-lb of torque.

But if you want one of these bikes you better act fast - only 300 of the gold series will be released.

Moto Guzzi - Fresh Colors for a New Year

Though Moto Guzzi may not be releasing any new models this year, that doesn’t mean they aren’t making a splash. From the V7 to the latest Stelvio, the latest colors are available for many top models. Here’s a few highlights:

  • V7 Stone: Sabbia Camo (similar to beige)
  • V7 Special: Nero Smeraldo and Bianco 1969 (a new black and smooth white, respectively)
  • V7 Sport: Rosso Monza (bright red)
  • V85 TT: Giallo Wadi (a unique yellow-orange)

Italian Charm Summarized - the Vespa

Would it be a trip to Milan if we didn’t talk about the Vespa? With the iconic scooter’s 80th anniversary just around the corner in 2026, the festivities began early (though if you have some free time in June and you’re a Vespa enthusiast, you may want to plan your trip to Rome now).

Vespa released its 80th anniversary editions of the Primavera, GTS, and Sprint S. Engines include 50, 125, and 150cc displacements and a stunning pastel green with special logos and badges. Put simply, if you want a piece of Vespa history, these new 2026 models are the ones you’ll want to snag.

Aprilia’s Latest: The RS 457 GP Replica

At EICMA 2025, a special edition of the infamous RS 457 was released to the world. Often coveted among younger riders, this edition features upgraded equipment and styling inspired by the RS-GP.

It boasts a new quick shifter for clutchless upshifts and downshifts, as well as higher friction brake pads for better stopping power. Add these to the qualities that have made this bike endlessly popular: its light weight, agility, and modern technology, means that the latest RS 457 is sure to find plenty of buyers in the year to come.

 

 

CFMoto: A 1,000cc Prototype

Yes, you read that right: a 1,000cc supersport model is coming down the production line. Aside from being enormously powerful, this bike has a unique look to match. With huge wings on either side of the front fairing, CFMoto explains that these are designed to move. They have electric motors that will adjust their angle depending on whether the goal is increased speed or improved grip.

Though this type of modern engineering isn’t allowed in racing, it will be interesting to see how this bike goes in the production process. One other notable related feature in this bike is a V4 engine with a counter-rotating crankshaft, producing a claimed output of 210 hp.

Ducati’s DesertX: Leaner, Lighter, and 110 hp 

Remember the 2022 DesertX and the shockwave it sent around the world? Well, they’re doing it again at EICMA 2025 with a sneak peek at the latest DesertX. The 2026 model will be leaner, lighter (down to 454 pounds) and more compact than the current model. It’s shaving off the pounds thanks to the latest V2 IVT engine.

You can still expect plenty of power though - with the DesertX reaching 110 hp. It will also include a progressive linkage for the rear shock absorber - and a new setup that will improve off-road performance generally.

It Wouldn’t Be EICMA Without the Yamaha R7

The 2026 Yamaha R7 arrives with a big step forward in tech and performance. Borrowing the 6-axis IMU from the R1, it finally gets a full electronic suite — traction and slide control, anti-wheelie, engine-brake and brake management, plus launch control, all tied to YRC ride modes.

The 689 cc CP2 stays at the core, now paired with Y-CCT throttle for smoother, more consistent power. A lighter, stiffer frame, adjustable fork, and SpinForged wheels sharpen the bike’s agility, while a lower seat and new R1-style footpegs make the riding position more accessible.

Add in updated aerodynamics and the Y-TRAC Rev App for telemetry and a Virtual Pit Board, and the 2026 R7 stands out as Yamaha’s smartest, most dialed-in Supersport yet.

 

Hello, Honda Transalp

The 2026 Honda XL750 Transalp shows up at EICMA with one major upgrade: Honda’s new E-Clutch system, which handles clutch operation automatically while still keeping the lever for riders who want manual control.

Honda also adds a standard skid plate and fully adjustable Showa suspension, all on a Euro 5+–compliant platform. Six riding modes come via Throttle By Wire, along with adjustable traction control, wheelie control, power delivery, and engine braking. A steel frame, 310 mm front discs, and 21/18-inch spoked wheels maintain its adventure-bike character.

 

2026 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R - Living Up to its Heritage

The 2026 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R gets precise updates in aerodynamics, electronics, and chassis on a 998 cc inline-four. Showa BFF and BFRC Lite suspensions return with optimized settings, complemented by revised frame geometries and a now-standard Öhlins steering damper.

Performance remains high with Brembo M50 brakes, 330 mm discs, and radial master cylinder, while Bridgestone Battlax RS12 tires make their debut as stock rubber. The cockpit is upgraded too, with a new 5” TFT display offering voice commands, turn-by-turn navigation, and Bluetooth connectivity via the Rideology app, blending the track-ready performance you desire with the modern convenience you expect.
