CBR1000RR Fireblade

Honda’s series of inline-four sportbikes are considered by some to be one of the top bikes you can buy in terms of power, smoothness and versatility. The CBR1000RR Fireblade is no exception to the trend, resulting in an incredibly track-ready superbike.

For 2024 in particular, Honda will feature 30th-anniversary graphics, including individual serialized numbering. This bike will be recognized as one of the best in its class - and subsequently Honda is releasing a limited number of them.

But be warned: this 1,000cc bike is not for everyone. It’s high-revving and powerful in ways that only the most experienced riders can take advantage of it. Though if you’re not quite there yet, this is certainly a bike to shoot for if you have aspirations of tearing up your local track.

What is the difference between CBR1000RR 2023 and 2024?

This bike is based on 2023’s model and makes the same peak power and torque, but the numbers happen at different revs, hinting at some of the changes within. In the 2023 model, max horsepower was 14,500rpm, whereas in 2024, it’s at 14,000rpm. Max torque arrived at 12,500rpm in 2023 and is now at 12,000pm for 2024.

Other internal changes include a compression ratio going from 13:4:1 to 13:6:1, as well as lighter inlet valves and new valve springs. The 2024 model also has weight savings distributed throughout the engine.

In addition to mechanical updates, there were some nice upgrades made to the electronics. This ranges from a new throttle-by-wire system to a suite of rider assists new for 2024.

Is the CBR600RR fast?

Put simply, yes. The CBR600RR’s top speed is 160 MPH. Oh, and don’t forget about the 0-60 time of 2.8 seconds and a quarter mile in 10.6 seconds.

It’s often compared to the high end superbikes found in Kawasaki’s Ninja lineup, in particular the ZX-6R, thanks to an inline four engine.

CB1000R Black Edition

Looking for a modern streetfighter with unforgettable performance?

Then look no further than the Honda CBR1000R. The Black Edition is the only one sold in the US in 2024, and we can see why. With its more open and upright seat and dark aesthetic, this bike brings the perfect balance of power and looks. So next time you’re winding along city streets, you can be sure that this bike will turn heads.

But don’t let its slightly retro headlight and coffin shaped gas tank fool you. This bike combines plenty of comfort with advanced electronics to guide you on your journeys.

How fast can a Honda CB1000R go?

The CBR1000R has been clocked in previous years going up to 150 mph. We expect the 2024 edition won’t deviate too far in either direction from this number. So, no matter what, it is pretty fast.

How much horsepower does a CB1000R have?

The 2022 model reported having 122 horsepower. Not unlike the top speed, we don’t expect a significant deviation in this aspect of the bike for 2024. That said, we will certainly update this post should either of those things come to change.

Does CB1000R have quickshifter?

Yes, the 2024 CB100R has a 6-speed manual gearbox with quickshifter. It’s adjustable to three levels: soft, medium, and hard.

SCL500

(Almost) everyone loves a scrambler, and with the SCL500 we can understand why.

Inspired by Honda’s scramblers of the 1970’s, the SCL500 has a distinct style matched only by its comfortable and smooth ride. Add in an engine based on the Rebel 500, and you’ll also have all the power you need to take on the roads ahead.

The SCL500 has a 471cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin four-stroke, so it’s not quite the speed demon when compared to other models in Honda’s 2024 motorcycle lineup. But, that’s certainly not a bad thing. After all, sometimes it’s better to just cruise and enjoy the surroundings (and save the adrenaline for later).

Additional highlights include a high-set muffler, 19-inch front wheel, a comfortable passenger-ready seat, and slipper/assist clutch. ABS comes standard in 2024, not to mention a beautiful new black metallic color (alongside candy orange and matte laurel green metallic).

Check it out in action in this video:

Is Honda CRF300L street legal?

Yes, though it is Honda’s smallest street-legal CRF model. It was originally released in 2021 as a larger iteration of the CRF250L. This model features a larger engine with more torque, as well as reduced weight and improved balance.

Put simply, this bike is as comfortable on a BDR as it is traversing busy city streets - making it an ideal option for the rider who needs a motorcycle that can do both.

Monkey 125

If retro styling is your thing, then the Monkey 125 is the perfect bike for you. Inspired by Honda's iconic Monkey bikes of the 1960s, this modern interpretation captures the essence of pure fun and nostalgia.

Powered by a fuel-injected 125cc engine, the Monkey 125 is a blast to ride in any urban environment. Whether you're commuting to work or zipping around town, the Monkey 125 is sure to put a smile on your face.

It’s also one of our favorite mini motos - so if you have the chance to take one out for a spin, we highly recommend you do so.

What is the top speed of the 2024 Honda Monkey?

The 2024 Honda Monkey may be small, but it is quick - reaching 56.5 mph. While that may not sound like much compared to some of the other bikes on this list, we can assure you that it certainly feels much faster at that speed.

Grom 125

The Honda Grom, also known as the MSX125 (Mini Street X-treme 125) is a compact and fun-oriented motorcycle that has gained a significant following since its introduction 10 years ago. It has earned a reputation as a small bike with a very big personality.

It’s also fine going both on road and off road - even further adding to its growing appeal. The 2024 Grom SP in particular will receive a unique graphics treatment from Honda. All models feature “plug-and-play” body panels that are easily removed for customization.

One additional bonus with the 2024 models is the wide selection of available colors. The base model features Blue Raspberry, Pearl White, and Nitric Orange bodywork. The ABS version comes in Pearl White and the SP comes in Matte Gray Metallic.
