This is a support strut for the Africa Twin rear racks that can be used optionally when the rear rack is under heavy load. This support strut uses the side case carrier as a connection point. If the side carrier is not mounted, part number 700.009375 is also required.

Elegant solution

After hearing of some failures of the rear rack, was surprised at how much flex there is. I think H&B came up with an elegant solution by making these support struts. The struts are intended for Alurack/Easyrack top plates, but can be made to work with other flat plates if needed. Now the rack on my Africa Twin is no longer cantilever and that gives me some piece of mind. The item was as described and arrived quickly. Happy customer.
