Hepco & Becker SOLID Engine / Tank Protection Guards Husqvarna Norden 901 / Expedition 2022-

Crashed my fully loaded Norden with H-B crash bars last year on a smooth dirt road on the northern leg of the New Mexico BDR at approximately 35 mph. The result was 7 broken ribs for me and the left side crash bar was bent beyond use though no body work or panels were damaged. The bars did an excellent job of protecting the bike however their strength and durability is questionable but perhaps a stronger bar would have resulted in bike frame damage. Protection coverage was excellent as a majority of the powder coated surfaces were scratched or scuffed. The end result is I will purchase a new set to protect my bike against my stupidity!

Was a little worried about keyboard warriors saying mounting points to the motor would break the motor in a fall. Also, upper mount could hit radiator if bent. Also, they are heavy.
Well, we have been down hard on these several times, and we have been nothing but happy with them. No bends or mounting point problems and the weight is negligible. Just scratched paint. Installation was a snap and I get comments all the time about the yellow coating. Wish I could post a pic.

Finally have protection for my 2024 Husqvarna Norden 901 Expedition. The bars are extremely stout and fit nicely with a slight filing of the left side, top of the skid plate for better clearance to allow the easier attachment of the upper support bolt. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for protection for their 901 Expedition.

These tank protection guards are high quality and fit great. They were easy to install and look awesome too. They appear to offer more protection than other versions that are available.

I have put them to the old man test. ( slow speed drops by an old man ).
Strong, built well and hold up. They are a pain for oil changes though.

Install was relatively easy…after some wiggling of the bars the bolts went in fine. They are sturdy and look fantastic. I hope to never need them, but if I do, they will do the job well.

with all different sized bolts and spacers and limited instructions made it a long install. Also was missing a small spacer!

While I haven’t tested their crash protection I can say they feel pretty solid and the installation went pretty easy

Looks great, but it appears in a couple places to connect to the engine not the frame - not good.

received them well packed and very solid. however the yellow color does not match the yellow on the bike -its lighter and looked very bad. i returned them

Everything arrived in good condition and was well packed. After I placed my order it was only a couple business days until it shipped. Other than a small mistake made by UPS they arrived quickly.

Very solid protection

Installation went well. Appear solid. I have not put them to the test yet.

The crash bars fit perfectly, albeit a missing 31mm spacer. Managed by purchasing bushings from my local hardware store.
