Rugged is the latest set of leather bags to come from Hepco & Becker combining the familiar characteristics of Hepco & Becker quality with nostalgic roots. This is not your typical leather bag and we wouldn't want it to be. Its unconventional character is further enhanced by the contemporary distressed look we have all been longing for. The overall look is an interwoven cross hatched combination. This surface has had a special treatment closing the leather pores making it averse to rain and other debris commonly found when riding. Even the black leather straps have the attention to detail Hepco & Becker is known for by adding black buckles instead of the typical chrome. The inner walls of the bag have a hard contour and allow for a locking mechanism that come with the bags. The Rugged leather bag is offered in two versions: C-Bow version to fit on the Hepco & Becker C shaped mounts. Rugged Bag Holder version to fit on bikes with shocks or fairings that would typically be in the way, now part of the mounting system. Rugged Saddle Bags for 2013 Harley-Davidson Sportster Custom

After months of research looking for saddlebags for my 2013 Sportster that did not require me to relocate my rear turn signals, yet still had enough capacity for a decent trip’s worth of gear. There are only two reasons I did not rate a 5 out of 5: The first reason is that these bags are not pre-drilled or even marked for the mounting hardware needed to attach to the rugged saddlebag mounts, nor are there any instructions to be found anywhere on how to achieve this. Which brings me to the other reason, which is that I have not yet mounted the bags to the bike, and so cannot rate them at a 5 out of 5 just yet. Regardless, the quality of Hepco & Becker gear is second to none, and I am confident that once I figure out how to attach the mounting hardware and give these a go, these bags will exceed my expectations. Thank you my fine German Hepco & Becker champions for being the only company to make quality and spacious saddlebags for the Harley-Davidson 1200 Custom, just as you were the only company who manufactures exact fit saddlebag mounts for my even more rare 1989 Honda GB500 (pictured).Keep up the great work! (And send me some instructions please).
