Nice Design

One small issue is the sewn in dry bags. Makes the pannier a bit harder to pack. If you start rolling up the dry bag it retains air and then as you try to close the pannier it is difficult until you loosen the dry bag to exhaust air. Even so, I would buy again. And I will likely buy the larger version as well that will be better suited for 5+ day trips as opposed to 2-4 day trips.

Awesome bags, quick shipping & great customer service!

Was looking for a better way to carry my work stuff (lunch, laptop, some clothes, rain gear) when commuting as I dont like riding with a backpack, and also wanted to keep the look of my BMW S1000R clean and minimalistic. The Hepco/Becker C-bow holder and Royster bags delivers 100%!! so happy I got these; plenty of space and super easy to take off when not needed, leaving just the small c-bow brackets. Everything was easy to install and MotoMachines were super helpful in responding to my questions. Highly recommended.

Great Bags

Great set of bags. Fit the contours of my Yamaha nicely and even have the tank bag to match.

Lightweight and easy to pack

I ordered both the Royster and Orbit saddlebags to decide which would work best for my use. I liked the Orbit bags because they are hard bags however they were difficult to pack. The very lightweight Royster bags were faster and easier to pack plus I could pack more items in them compared to the Orbit bags. The integrated waterproof liner made it very easy to pack because it would help contain the items while packing.

The bags are very easy to take on/off and the setup is sturdy while riding.

Surprisingly, I doubled my capacity compared to my fully extended Nelson Rigg Touring tailbag. This means I can carry 3 times the amount than I could before . Very satisfied .

Shipping was fast everything perfect.

Shipping was fast everything perfect.
I purchased them for a week long trip for my multistrada together with the -bow rack. The system works great easy to take the bags off. The bags are nicely made. They are small definitely not for a round the world trip. The shape of the bag makes it easy to load or retrieve items on or off the bags wider items go on the bottom smaller ones on top to maximize space. I did not test how waterproof they are and whether the inside of the bag will be wet due to the exposed zippers. Overall a good system for shorter trips. For longer trips a rolltop duffel bag can expand storage. The bike tipped over no damage to the bag or rack, unlike hard bags.

Great bags

Superb fit and function. Fast delivery. Mounted great to my 2018 R1. Only negative comment is that I believe these are the old version based on the carry handles - which I prefer though.

Solid and reliable

2018 Ducati Scrambler Special / These bags are all I hoped for and more. Soft enough to stuff, but solid enough to retain shape after zippering closed and when emptied.

The fit on the bike is tight. I've brushed/wacked/sideswiped some stationary objects that I thought were certainly going to tear or impact the bag. They survived and popped right back into shape.

The handles are reliable. Waterproofing is good. I could go on...

Loved them but the zippers failed.

I've had the yellow-trimmed roysters on my 2016 XSR900 since 2017 and though they might be a bit small, my naked bike now has enough room for some groceries and longer trips to the desert. They look sharp and people often compliment the bike and the bags.

On to the not-so-great. The zippers started being a bit finicky in late 2020 and I've just dealt with using only one of the two sliders--both bags had issues with the zip coming apart. Finally, in Nov-Dec, the slider fell off the track of one of my bags, while the other can only be closed using one slider (though there are two on each zipper). In short, the bags both open with a slight poke, even if the zipper appears to have closed.

I checked H&B's site and they claimed a 5-year warranty. I figured I'd reach out as the bike itself is at the age of the warranty. I emailed H&B directly about the issues, and they responded immediately. After sending the requested photos, I waited for a week before they told me that this type of failure was not covered, "they are not under warranty for this." I took them to a cobbler/tailor who was able to fix one bag and not the other.

I love the bags enough to have ordered another set and will try to use the C-bow mounts for my own projects.

You'll love the bags too, but don't overstuff them and be gentle with the zippers--don't expect support from the manufacturer if they fail.

Definitely a good choice.

I bought these Royster bags with the yellow zipper to add a bit of flair to my 2020 Ninja 650 KRT ABS and they really looked sharp on it. Kept my FroggTogg rain suit in it because I ride and commute daily rain or shine.

Unfortunately I had a slow low side when my front tire hit gravel at an intersection when I was making my turn. The bike just pancaked straight down on the left side.

Amazingly enough the fairings barely took a scratch. I didn't have sliders at that time.

The left side Royster bag took the entire blow for the rear end, only scratching the bottom of each end where the zippers are. But it was enough to damage the zipper. The rest of the case still looks great really. The bag took a good hit and preferred the mounting hardware - the hardware did not bend not scratch at all!

At this time, ordering a single replacement in yellow won't happen. It's out of stock.

I'll say this about the storage. I could load a grocery handcart in them, but I'm not a fan of how they taper at the top.

That's why I'm ordering the Street Oval version this time around. I think it'll still look sharp, but I think it'll be easier to close with the top not angled in and it'll probably hold a tad more.

No complaints about durability and quality here whatsoever.

Pull the trigger.

Refined look for the Griso with the new bags.

The bags look really good on the Moto Guzzi Griso. The quality and design of the bags are of very high quality, durable and have a sleek look that fits in well with the style of the Griso. The locking system appears to robust. Overall very happy with the purchase and the service provided by Moto Machines.

High quality product! Sturdy construction!

Very happy with these bags! Installation was a breeze, and they're very well made. They are a little on the small side, but the nice thing about the C-Bow mounting system, is that they accept several different size bags that are available from Hepco and Becker. You won't need to buy the mounting system again, just the different bags. Great value for the money.

Meh! They work but not worth the price!!!

I have a 2009 Harley Davidson XR1200. I purchased these bags so that I can commute more on my bike and use less gas. The website does not really depict the size of the bags to give an accurate view of how small they really are. While they are sturdy and have waterproof linings and zippers, they have a weird angular shape to them. This shape makes it difficult to put a lot of things in them. It also makes space very limited. Yes, you can put some clothes in there. You might be able to fit a pair, or two, of Chuck Taylor shoes on one bag but that is it. Two pairs will be a stretch. You will not be able to put your bike jacket in there. Unless, you really stuff it in there and hope the zipper holds. You might be able to put in boot on each bag. I am really disappointed at the bags. Not sure who was the genius at Hepco and Becker who thought that this would be a good idea. I decided to keep them, for now, because I didn't want to deal with their strict return policy. While I wasn't expecting to be able to put a week worth of clothes in there, I wasn't expecting this awkward shape thing that you can only fit one shoe on each one. Not worth the price at all. They are somewhat practical. Really stressing the somewhat!!! They do have another less costing option, however, they are made out of canvas and they have to be also strapped to one another. Because of that, you will lose the passenger seat since the strap will run across there. This would mean your passenger would have to uncomfortably seat on a strap that is pressing against it.

Hepco & Becker Royster soft street bag

This is an update review to the bags I purchased back in 04/15. The good: cannot believe how well they repel rain. Have been caught in torrential downpours on long distance rides and the bags are waterproof. The bad: Zippers have a tendency of splitting open when bags are packed. The ugly: forgot to lock one of the bags on C-Bow and it flew off after I hit a pothole. Man, what a mess. The bag got decimated! Will be ordering a replacement very soon. Love this product!

Just received my royster bags and c-bow mounts. The attention to quality is very impressive I will have to wait until April to test these babies out, I am expecting no problem. Thanks to Motomachines for the prompt and courteous service.

Top quality bags

Top quality bags. I was very happy with them they open up very wide to get to every thing. I needed a larger bag for mon through Friday and to hall a weeks worth of uniforms in and they work perfectly. With the cbow system I can easily remove them and switch to another bike or bag. Awesome

Fantastic Saddle Bags!

These have been installed on my bike for about a year now, and I felt it was time to leave a review. Very happy with my purchase of the Royster bags. The built in waterproof liner works great, but gets rarely used due to our nice weather in SoCal. Each bag can fit a 12pk of cans comfortably, plus a little additional room in the front or back for other items. The zippers have all held up very well, and the weather strip that covers the zipper does a great job of keeping the inside contents dry. I discovered this after riding in some unexpected rain when I didn't have the rain liner completely closed. I was pleasantly surprised to find all of my items were still dry. The only gripe I've had with them is that the side pocket storage cuts into the primary storage space within the bag, but I sense that this would be the case with any other bag. Keep in mind you always need to have weight distribution planned out, but all in all, very impressed and would buy them again!

Awesome, durable bags

I got these bags for my Honda 919 and they're fantastic. They look sporty and don't ruin the look of the bike, and the side pockets fit a toolkit and my disc and helmet lock well. I wish the bags held slightly more, but it's enough for my boots while I'm at work or food for several people on a lunch break, and probably a weekends worth of clothes if needed. I accidentally forgot to lock one bag after washing the bike last week. After riding at 70 mph for a couple hours one bag came loose and popped off the bike, NOT THE BAGS FAULT I DIDNT LOCK IT. To my suprise and pleasure the bag survived the 70mph fall on the highway with only a few minor scuffs and retained it's shape and still looks very good. Highly impressed with these bags and it's worth the price.

I still like the bags after 9 months

I have a set of these mounted on each of our bikes. Both are 2016 BMW S1000RR. The fit to the bikes is very good. Hepco did make an effort to design the mounting system, so that the bags were well above the stock exhaust. Unfortunately, in the long term, I found that on one of the bikes (mine) the heat from the exhaust had nearly burnt a hole through the bottom of the bag. Maybe this is due to my heavier weight vs. my wife's weight compressing the suspension more, not sure. Anyway, we bought a couple short slip on mufflers and solved the problem. They also show some general material deformation from the sun, too, but nothing that affects usability. I really like the fact that they are actually waterproof. We get tropical downpour rains in the summer, here and I have never had a drop of water inside. I do wish they were a bit larger in capacity but overall I'm pretty happy with these units.

Easy-to-Use, Look Good, Small

The bags seem well made, are very light in weight, and the zippers operate smoothly and seal tightly. Mounting and dismounting the bags on the C-bow frame is super easy and secure. I haven't used these for a tour yet, so can't comment on sizing for that purpose. But I am finding the shape and size a little constraining for around town usage (groceries, other errands). For example, two half-gallon cartons (sitting sideways) and a small bag of tangerines required some careful stuffing and some effort to zip close into one case. The black and yellow design match my '15 Honda CB500X perfectly. When mounted, they don't get in the way of a passenger's legs, and they are a minor restriction for me - I have to swing my leg a little higher to clear them.
