Rear rack enlargement plates provide additional storage capacity for any rear rack. These enlargements come in universal and model specific versions. The universal model will adapt to any rear rack whereas the model specific versions are custom designed for specific models. These plates increase the overall width and provide additional strap loops allowing you to carry wider items such as soft bags, tents etc.

Please note the Alu Standard side cases require the enlargement rack to be flipped around in order to still provide access. The Alu Standard side cases mount differently allowing less room in the area. There is no concern when it comes to the Xceed, Xplorer, or Xtravel side luggage.

It was an easy install. Take your time, don't rush it and THINK.

A secure option for carrying luggage

The unit is sturdy but the paint quality is less than desirable. Paint was stripped leaving ring marks from washers around the holes that did not work. I certainly did not tighten them while I was trying to figure out which holes the bolts and spacers went in. Install of the top enlargement plate was a little tricky trying to get to a tight space to place the spacers between that and the bottom plate. It held up well on a cross country trip and now I hope the ring marks don't begin to rust

Rear Gear Rack

Great addition to the gear storage, easy to install and has lots of options for tying down your gear. Pay attention to the alignment of the bolts before fully securing the rack. There is a potential of cross threading the provided hardware. Cheers

Enlargement Rack

Looks great, was worried that it might be too large but fits the tiger 900 perfectly. Very happy with the purchase.

great product, sketchy install

So, I love this rack, but putting it (at least on my bike), the tubes which fit down into the holes on the existing rack were slightly off angle, which makes it hard to get the bolts started at exactly the right angle into the existing hard plastic grommets. As a result, i got one cross threaded a bit. Just a note to be careful with that. I installed some small pads to put some bumper between the lower piece and higher piece.

Good option

Great option if you are looking to strap down a dry bag or duffel. Plenty of room and offers a lot of tie down points. Looks great and quality is top notch!

Difficult to mount

Once on the bike, its a great sturdy piece of kit. However, its difficult to mount as the nuts (towards the front of the bike) underneath are very hard to access. After struggling to get the nuts on the thread, I had to push against them with a flat blade screwdriver as there is no way you can get a spanner into the tight space. I wanted to remove the rack when I wasn't using it but with it this hard to fit, this isn't a viable option.
