I didn’t buy this as a passenger grab rail, but as a way to strap down luggage; I think my purpose is better suited for this item. I say that, because after installation, only a child’s hands could fit between the rail and the seat. I couldn’t even get two fingers through. A strap for luggage, though, was a piece of cake. This is why it gets 4 stars.
Now for the instructions… I’m not new to product installations, upgrades, rebuilds… these instructions are terrible. Yes, I figured it out, but not because of what was included in the shipment. The pictures didn’t help and the words were convoluted at best. When it comes to drilling through expensive OEM body panels, these left me less than confident. If you can look at a couple pieces and figure out how they should work together, then you’ll be fine. If you struggle to follow sub-par instructions, please have a professional do the install for you.
