This product fits all bikes

The Orbit top case from Hepco and Becker is a fresh take on the classic, tried and true Hepco and Becker top case style. The Orbit top case features a robust appearance thanks to a carbon-like pattern unique to Hepco & Becker along with a fresh 3D Hepco & Becker logo. Space is of no concern when you are provided a 54-liter capacity large enough to hold two full-size helmets. In addition to this, the top case comes with an inner strap to keep your belongings from flying all over the place when traveling light. A yellow gasket is used to help waterproof the top case keeping your belongings dry from the elements.

What makes this case special is the redesigned mounting system which allows the case to be mounted without the use of a back bow that other cases require. This case comes with a universal alurack pallet that is designed to be fixed to any flat surface or rear rack. In addition to that, this case can be mounted onto any bike-specific Alurack. This case is not able to fit on the Hepco and Becker Easyrack system or Tube Rack system.

We have additional accessories including a backrest, document pouch, and top case railing all found on our website.

Capacity: 54 liters Size: 24” Length x 17.7” Depth x 13.4” Height.

Awesome Case!

Have had mine for over 5yrs now and it's on the 3rd bike. Install is pretty east with the universal rack mount included. Holds 2 full size helmets with no problem. I can put one helmet and a riding jacket with gloves in it. Works great with a backpack or big bag to carry all clothes and extra shoes. Waterproof seal is great. Also, I have the Orbit side cases on another bike and they are great as well. When the wife rides it's a great backrest and carrier for whatever she brings on a daytrip ride. Highly recommend! Key broke, but still worked. You can order a new key by looking at the old one and getting to number off of it. Motomachines is great to deal with and fast shipping if they have it in stock on this side of the pond!

Great top case

Plenty of space in this box. Can easily fit 2 helmets and other gear inside. Installed on a 22 HD Police Road King. Used aluminum flat stock to mount the hardware to. Took some doing but it looks factory and didnt cost outrageous HD prices. The spousal unit appreciates the comfortable backrest. Wouldnt hesitate to order another if needed.

Great top case, like it

Great top case, like it much better than my Journey top case that came on my Buell Ulysses . Opening and closing with one hand is much easier, great internal volume as well, may install an auxiliary fuel cell with room to spare.

Great trunk with a large sorage capacity.

If you travel long distance on a motorcycle, this is a great option. Relatively easy to install and use and it has a large storage capacity.

Awesome case!

Great in 6 hours of rain with no leaks and plenty of room. Only negative is that it had no handles or straps to carry it with, so it's awkward when fully loaded. Looks great too! Matches the orbit side cases I have perfectly!

Great commuter case! & Great service

I just received and installed this Orbit Topcase 54, so only a short term review. Purchased this item from Moto Machines and as per usual top-level service. My Emails were promptly responded to and my questions were answered and I had it on my door step in 2 days, of course Im only outside Washington DC! Cant say enough good things about Moto Machines..you can buy with confidence. The case itself seems like it will do just fine for my commuting to work, more than big enough to hold my backpack (no clue on what size my back pack is, but its a SwissGear one bought at Costco, and Costco doesnt sell small stuff, lol)
The install is very easy, but a bit confusing and probably could have saved myself some time if I had taken everything out of the packages.as I would have noticed 2 plateswhen you only need 1 and you dont need to install the bow
Yes there is some very slight movement on the box, but as one other owner mentioned, thats probably designed to prevent fatigue cracks from the bikes vibrations..I gave it a few good grabs and it isnt coming off the bike
Positives: Great price, lots of room, appears to be water-proof and an easy install (If I can install it,you can!!) and great service from Moto Machines
Negatives: Maybe the plastic hinges on the rear (Im really reaching here!!) The locking mechanism is a bit sticky, but I am sure it will improve with use. You cant leave the case unlocked..not an issue for me,but I know some do not like that. Not a fan of the large H&P sticker
Overall for the $$$ it is a grand slam and for what I am going to sue it for, it should last a lifetime. My 2017 Honda Africa twin DCT doesnt see much dirt. Thanks Moto machines for a great transaction.

Orbit is a great value for a high volume topcase.

Orbit is a great value for a high volume topcase. Intended for lighter duty such as commuting or light touring, simple design, excellent usable interior space, solid mounting system. I've used mine for over a year and with careful treatment the exterior still looks new. Recognizing that this is intended for lighter duty, the only nit I have is that the carrying "handle" is not ergonomic. Its just the edge of the top shell, and if you need to carry the case fully loaded for any distance, you'll probably find it a bit uncomfortable.

My Review

I've been using HB topcases on various Moto Guzzis and Harleys for over a decade now. Most of them have been the HB Juniors which I find durable, convenient, and not bad looking. I recently picked up a 2016 FLHP which comes with a large aluminum luggage rack. The adapter for the HB Juniors uses a cross bar that I didn't want visually on this bike, and more importantly requires it be positioned so the rear end hangs off the luggage rack for the clamp system. This would have required the topcase to sit too far back to act as a passenger backrest. My answer was the Orbit topcase. The docking design allows the adapter to be positioned pretty much anywhere you want on a flat surface. Now You do need just a hair of clearance between the rack and kit at the back (vertically) for the bag to seat, but I solved that by shimming the adapter up a few mm using some aluminum stock. One major difference in the Orbit vs. the Juniors is that you must lock it to secure it to the rack and lock the lid closed. The separate mounting and top latches on the Juniors allow you to leave the lid unlocked even if the case is locked to the rack. This isn't a big deal and there's only lock cylinder on the Orbit, just be aware you need the key each time you access it. This bag is cavernous without looking too large (at least on a police RK, it might seem a bit much on say a Guzzi smallblock V7), and it holds a ton of stuff including 2 full face helmets if so desired. I'm quite pleased with this addition to the RK.
