This Headlight Guard from Hepco & Becker is custom designed for the Africa Twin, providing specialized protection for the headlight. These guards are recommended for both off-road riding and regular street use to protect that expensive headlight from road debris that can get kicked up in all aspects of riding. All Headlight Grilles come with instructions and are easy to install. 

NOTE: This is only compatible with the OEM tank guard from Honda.

Looks great, and works for off-road use. As for regular street riding we have issues that require addressing. Is it legal to have mounted day or night in your state without getting pulled over for a ticket. Will the state inspector pass the lamp guard mounted during the annual inspection? No and No in the state of Virginia! Running the risk of asking to get pulled over very high. How fast can you remove the lamp guard when it happens! Buyer beware it can be costly...not knowing the state laws. Having additional running lights mounted won't pass the test or law for installed lamp-guards.

Liked the style of this headlight guard, unfortunately night riding visibility is definitely impa...

After buying, installing and night riding with this headlamp guard. I've noticed minor, though definite headlight blockage by the protective metal grid weave of the design. When ordered, I didn't put much consideration into the potential light blockage during night rides by the metal weave construction, as I'd assumed testing and Q.A. tests had remedied such issues. Unfortunately, while the headlamp guard seems like it'd provide good protection. I can't recommend this product, as it definitely presents safety drawbacks during night riding.
