Hepco & Becker Skid plates are a top notch protection option for ADV bikes. Hepco designs their skid plates with 3-4 mm thick aluminum bent and welded together to surround the bottom of the engine casing for optimal protection. Skid plates will protect everything from the engine case itself, the headers/downpipes, radiators/oil coolers, and any other components found in that area. Something as simple as a rock or some other road debris can cause serious damage. Like hopping curbs? A skid plate will protect you from any potential hits. 

Note 1: Keep in mind that many aluminum skid plates are large once piece items. They can resonate with the sound of the engine and make it louder or just sound different. We have sound deadening tape available here. 

Note 2: Due to the nature of the skid plates and their positioning, it may be necessary to remove the skid plate for service and maintenance.

Nothing spectacular. It’s look and finish is pretty decent. Fitting it is a pain and the hardware that comes with It isn’t very tough. Being careful with the install, I still have few tight fitting bolts and messed up threads. Looking forward to fixing all of that soon. Overall, I think it’ll be great protection everywhere except the unneeded hole right under the exhaust. Great protection but expensive for the quality of hardware.

Great added protection!

Very sturdy and well engineered for form and fit. In my opinion it’s better looking than the OEM. It’s a little bit fiddly mounting and setting the brackets but after that it’s easy to remove and replace for oil changes etc.
Shipping takes a while but it was worth the wait.
I also bought the engine and tank guards from Hepco & Becker, all in black, all are 5 Star rated by me.

Great Protection - Patient Install Required.

Very durable and stout skid plate for the vulnerable TransAlp underbelly. Once you confirm correct orientation of the mounting brackets, fitment is straightforward with good clearance and alignment, Direction markings on the brackets and better instructions would help. The skid plate protects the sump and lower engine very well and provides good coverage at the front of the engine too.

I purchased lower and upper

I purchased lower and upper crash bars and skid. 2024 Honda Transalp 750. Easy to install with good instructions. Skid plate was a pain to line up screws. But I got it done. Everything fits good and looks great. Took a while to ship but it's a new model bike.
