Ok, so I got my Hepco Becker engine guards today for my 2016 Triumph Tiger 800 XRX. The plastic plugs that cover the bolt holes screw out, don't try to pry them out! Right side (right being sitting on the motorcycle right side) installed in 10 minutes or less, and I was extremely happy. That one went well. The left side took about 15 minutes. (left being sitting on the motorcycle, left side) Little more tricky, but it went well. Fit like a glove. Unbelievable machined manufacturing. I mean you have 2 mm of room to spare, incredible! At first I thought I may have to remove the radiator hose but was able to just pull it out of its clamp and insert the bolt behind it and used a wrench a little turn at a time till it tightened up. I did not torque it but it tightened it pretty good. The rest I was able to torque to 18.44 foot pounds or 25 newton meters. Now I have the Hepco Becker engine guards, tank guards and street Daypack. They are not bulky like other crash bars. The engine bars have a combine weight of 6 pounds 10 ounces. They are quality made. bought them mainly in case I tip over while standing still. The combination of the tank guards and engine guards will protect the radiator from getting damaged also. Overall these are great looking bars and wonderful portection.
