Fits 2022 890 Duke R w/ Mod

The instructions were not as detailed as I expected, however I was able to complete the install with only two hiccups.

1. The bolt that you remove from the left side, under the shifter, passes through the shifter support AND the kick stand assembly. This means that removing it while the kick stand is in use, will misalign the bolt path. Lift the bike and use a soft impact mallet to realign the path before pushing the bolt through for the final installation.

2. I had to remove the washer that went with the above mentioned bolt before it prevented my shifter from completing the downshift. The outside diameter of the washer was slightly too big and I didn't have any other washers that fit the bolt.

Otherwise, it looks like this cage will adequately protect my bike.

Fits a 2021 890 Duke R

Studied the installation instructions and images for this back to front and upside down before ordering it for my 2021 890 R last week. Got it in and did a dry fit before pulling a single bolt and just finished the actual install about an hour ago.

It fits the bike perfectly.

The note regarding it 'interfering' with the rear shock reservoir actually references how it covers one of the tuning points for the rear suspension on the right side. However, it only makes it so you have to use a long screwdriver to make adjustments, rather than being able to use the one in the under-seat toolkit(which my bike was missing from the crate anyways).

A minor inconvenience at best, not even worth removing a star. 5/5
