Hepco & Becker engine guards provide protection in case of an accident or fall. Custom designed for each bike to bolt on without drilling. All engine guards come with the required installation hardware and instructions.

Customers praised these crash bars for excellent quality, fit, and stylish appearance. One customer reported they effectively protected their bike during a 30 mph slide, saving $2,000 in repairs. Installation is tricky with unclear instructions, requiring YouTube videos for guidance. Fitment is perfect once installed.

Engine guards for a Kawasaki Vulcan S 650

It appears to be well made. All the welds are done properly. Everything fit together perfectly. It is a little tricky to install, but I watched a youtube video which was a big help. I still had to remove one extra piece of plastic to complete the installation, then replaced it when I was done. Took 2 hrs.

I'm very happy with the product and with Moto Machines for making sure I was ordering the correct part, as it wasn't returnable. Metric tools will be helpful.

Great purchase. Needed to watch

Great purchase. Needed to watch a video before the install but it was easy after that. They look great! I love them!

Rough install but looks great

Getting it bolted on was a pain. Had to attempt to widen it a little to pop it on to get the front to align with the bolt holes. Installation took longer than i thought it would. Directions weren't great so I looked up the install on YouTube.

Once on it looks really nice. Seems to be great quality and guessing it will hold up for a long time.

Stylish and Effective

I purchased these for my 2016 Vulcan S about 3 years ago. I've received compliments on their look over the years, in part because I dressed them up by putting a low rear mirror on the right side, a small bag, and a water-bottle mount. They're pretty useful for extra stuff like that.

Last Sunday, early December 2020, nearly 3 years after the initial install, I hit an oil slick on a road in California. The bike went down and this bar, along with a C-Bow, took the impact and slide like a champ! The bike is relatively unscathed because of the Hepco-Becker parts, just a small ding on the tip of left mirror, handlebar end, and kickstand.

I'm replacing these parts, totally saved the body of the bike from what would have been about $2,000 USD worth of repairs for a slide at 30 mph.

These fit wonderfully

These fit wonderfully and they look great! Keep in mind whether you have the ERGO-FIT Reduced, Mid or Extended Reach setup. They're made to fit and come with parts for the first rider positions. I'm tall so I have the Extended Reach positioning. This caused some confusion. Install the right side first and you'll see that the bottom mounting bracket collides with the spacer holding foot peg on. Remove and replace the spacer with 3 washers and install using the original screw instead of the mount's screw. Then do the left side and replace the left side spacer with the spacer from the right side. The same collision issue exists on this side with the Extended Rider foot peg position. Hope that helps!

Put these on my 2016 Vulcan S

Put these on my 2016 Vulcan S last week and love them. They integrate the beautifully with the black on the bike. When on they are not intrusive looking and flow with the frame of the bike. The fit was perfect but the installation was a bit tricky until we figured out how they fit as the instructions were not too helpful.

Great bars

Love the look of the bars on the Vulcan S, they integrate perfectly and have a great curve to them. Installation is a bit of a pain, as the instructions tell you what to do in the wrong order. I started over in reverse order, and things went much more smoothly. If you're interested, check out my video of how I did it on YouTube under "2016 Kawasaki Vulcan S Hepco & Becker crash bar installation"

Excellent fit and finish.

Excellent fit and finish. Be sure and remove the plastic covers on each side of the bike before starting (the instructions don't tell you that....they just show close up pictures after the covers are removed). The left side middle bolt is difficult to get the nut on so borrow a small hand to get it started if your paws don't fit. If you drop the nut, you may have to take off the plastic cover on the bottom of the bike to retrieve it (like I did). All in all, a great product and work the money.
