2021 Ducati Desert Sled. Overall, I'm very happy with the product. I think the DS should come from the factory with this product already installed.
However, for my make/model, there were several fitment problems. So be prepared to modify parts if you have my same DS.
1st) The brake switch housing that H&B gives you won't work because it's too short for the switch activator that sticks out the bottom. So when the spring loaded brake pedal snaps back and returns to its resting position, it jams the plunger of the switch. Per the DS service manual, the stop-screw on the pedal needs to return to the edge of the metal housing (so that it doesn't damage the switch) NOT rest solely on the switch activator itself. The new housing provided by H&B does not allow this to occur because the metal housing is shorter than the switch itself. Thus I had to use my original switch housing, which led to the second problem.
2nd) With the guards mounted to the engine behind the brake pedal on the right side, the original switch housing won't fit as it does originally. Because the guard requires a 20-25 mm aluminum spacer between the mounting point on the guard and the engine itself. This spacer prevents the original switch housing from fitting. So this required more modification. I had to grind a notch out of that spacer (essentially making a round spacer flat on one side) as well as grind-down the corner of the mounting tab itself in order to make space for the original switch housing. (This whole predicament also led to a major puzzle trying to figure out which piece down there to put back on first, second, etc. And eventually I had to remove the screw on the brake pedal that makes contact with the switch because everything was a tight fit.)
3rd) If you use both aluminum spacers at the upper engine mounting points, then the bars won't connect well down in front where they just slide into each other. I only used 1 of the spacers on the right side (to make clearance for the engine oil site glass), and the bars appear solid.
...I don't know, maybe there were some significant changes to the 2021 DS frame that make these guards less than "plug-n-play." There's a video on YouTube of a guy installing them on his 2021 DS, and he mentions at the end that he has to make some modifications, but he never says what they were. So these were my modifications.
(And I also had to make a few modifications on the upper engine guards that surround the oil cooler if you're thinking about getting those too. But with those I just had to drill out the recesses for the bolts a little more because the supplied bolts weren't long enough. ...or maybe you want to go buy a longer bolt instead.)
Overall, I'm very happy that I got the guards mounted, but it took me 2 days to figure out how to make it all work, it required some grinding, and the instructions are less than ideal. For example, they first tell you to remove a bolt, and then a paragraph later say, make sure you support the engine with a jack before you remove that bolt otherwise, the engine might sink. ...so set a jack under the engine first before you do anything.
