Other reviews have mentioned the paint - yup, it's thin in places and already showed some rub marks as I removed the bars from the packaging. These bars are subject to removal anytime the belly pan is removed for performing maintenance (i.e., oil & filter changes). I used anti-sieze paste on the mounting bolts, and the bolts threaded into the inserts with ease. I noticed the last time I removed the bars, rusty, trapped water poured-out from the tubing. Thus, the slip-fit can allow rain water, front wheel splash-up or wash water into the tubing. When I get a moment, I'll drill a small weep hole at the lowest point on the both left & right bars to untrap any accumulated water, otherwise I think these bars will rust from the inside-out. Otherwise, I chose the red color and it complements the rear subframe.
