Fits my 24 Tenere very nicely and works well. A must-have for easy chain maintenance.
the stand works well, the directions are bad, the bolt kit it comes with looks like I pieced it together at the hardware store. For a stand that cost more then OEM stands i do expect better. I emailed Hepco & Becker, still waiting for response, Moto Machines shipped fast and packaged well.
This is a great addition to my KTM 1290.
Order was received in a few days, the stand is extremely well-made and fit perfectly on the bike.
I would highly recommend this stand.
Easy purchase and prompt delivery as expected. Easy installation. Works perfectly, as expected. Stable. Makes getting the rear tire off the ground for chain maintenance and or wheel removal much easier.
Great product as you would expect from H&B. Doesn't interfere with Motortek crash bars or skid plate. My only two issues, one the directions are tricky. There's a bolt that goes into the back of an existing hole that took me ages to sort out and the gap to access the lower clicker on the shock is a bit too small. Other than that super happy.
Great customer service!
Great product, well designed, perfect fit.
Having been a welder all my working life, weld quality is good. Very impressed with ease of fit and of course the spring needing to be strong, can be installed with or without the tool with a little safety creativity. All in all great product.
Thanks
The Hepco & Becker skid plate and center stand fit and work great on the T7. My only complaint is the finish of the mounting bolts for the center stand. The supplied bolts are great quality but the heads look a little too "hardware store", I'll be replacing them with some stainless cap-head hex bolts. I also have the Hepco & Becker engine guards and tank guards (standard model). Everything fits well and was easy to install. I mounted some small Wolfman bags on the tank guards. Works great.
Excellent quality and style. Tucks away perfectly when not in use. Installation was straightforward although the spring connection was challenging for a DIY mechanic.
A great product!
Solid quality construction, clear instructions. Has two return springs so relatively confident it will stay put. However you cant use the old coins in the spring trick since there are two nested springs. I ended up stretching the lighter weight spring on both posts first and then using a screwdriver to pull heavy spring on front post while bracing a foot against the rear tire.
Works good. Directions could have been better
Quality manufacturing and pretty easy installation. Follow the instructions and youll be done in 20-30 minutes. The bike is very stable on the stand. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.
Works great
This center stand seems very well built with good welds and finish. It was easy to install and (I was even able to brush up on my HIgh School German) it took about 30 minutes. It sits close to the frame and out of the way as much as possible. The forward bolt on the left side threads into the manufactured threads on the bike (without any fastener removal first) and I used a small but long box end wrench to stretch and snap the springs in quickly. I zip tied the spring on the leg side to keep it from slipping off while I stretched the spring out while installing. I didn't want to add more weight to the bike but this was a good addition for convenience of on road maintenance.
The M10 holes for the stand itself were chamfered improperly, the first thread of each hole was rolled over and unusable. I chased out the threads with a tap and now ok. When I went to set the retraction springs, the pin on the frame mount pulled out of the hole. (Poorly welded in) Im a working machinist that has access to welding and had the pin rewelded so all is well now. Since the welding cooked the powder coat Ill have that redone too. Not happy with the quality but gonna make it work.
Everything fit as it should and works well.
I liked everything about this center stand except the hardware. The quality of the bolts was sub-standard and I even had to run one through a die to get it to thread into the captive nut!
The product is great but the instructions are poor.
Center stand arrived on-time. It's a good product for a fair price and I am happy with it. The spring is pretty challenging to get on and I sometimes have to give the stand a little nudge for it to move into the fully upright position.
Fits perfectly with axp plate. Springs were a pain. Overall well made and functions well.
Very nice piece. Welds, fitment and even paint quality were very good. Installed quickly. A bit heavy but I knew it was.
Straightforward install, solid piece of kit with excellent welds / machining. So nice to get the bike off the ground easily!
Excellent center stand. Very robust and streamlined. Installation instructions couldve been a little clearer. On the left side, one of the bolts is threaded in from behind the frame. Additionally, I was able to stretch the springs one at a time just using a pair of pliers and sitting on the ground behind the bike with right my foot against the peg for bracing. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
Tenere 700. Once I figured out where the bolt holes were, install wasn't that difficult. It seems well built. I haven't hit any jumps with it to see how good the spring was. I used a ratchet strap to my work bench to stretch the spring. I dropped a star because of the placement of the kick part you're supposed to step on to extend the stand and roll the bike back and on. It's so in line with the bike, that it's very difficult to hold the bars and keep your foot on this and roll the bike back. I think it could have been angled out more. I've had bikes where I could deploy the center stand while still astride the bike. But from what I hear this is better quality than the OEM.
Good quality, pretty easy installation. Used a foot long drift pin to get the spring on, but thats normal for all center stands, theyre always a challenge. My only complaint is that when you put the bike up on the stand, it seems to go back pretty far and when you try to take it off the stand it slides along the floor. Ive had to put my foot in front of the stand, then push the bike forward to keep it from sliding. Otherwise, its good.
Glad that I picked this stand! Lighter than most of the other offerings, easy to install and great quality. The Tenere is so much easer to work on now.
Thank you for the review! Glad to hear you are happy with the stand :)
The quality is top notch, well made and solid, great welds and powder coating. Packaging was fine and offered good protection. The install could have been so much easier with better instructions and some pictures to help you figure out where the inner bolts should go, etc. I had to watch a YouTube video to figure it out.
A very strong light weight stand. Installed easily in a hour and works great. Unfortunately its winter so haven't used it on the trail yet.
As easy an install as you get, just leave the right peg bolts loose until you insert the actual stand, it'll make it easier. And having a spring puller like for snowmobiles makes the spring easy. The only downside for me is at 155 lbs I have to literally stand on the centerstand foot and pull back really hard to get the bike up. But for maintenance, it can't be beat. It raises the rear tire off the ground and to get the front off the ground only takes a little something or a jack under the front of the skid with light pressure. Recommended!
I am very happy with the customer service from moto. I installed everything on my motorycle from top to bottom and it is beautiful.
Very solid while riding with great hardware to install. Easy to install
