The elegant and rugged Xplorer cases have become one of Hepco & Becker’s top selling products since being introduced only a couple years ago. They are made of 1.5 mm thick anodized aluminum and ABS plastic to combine the best of both worlds. The aluminum has been anodized to prevent corrosion especially when putting wet items in the case. The plastic has been designed to absorb impacts. The angled structure of the cases provide for enhanced strength and durability. A clever lid hinge makes it so that you can remove the lid completely if needed making this is a top loader case that folds up to 90° for maximum access. Tie down points are molded into the top of the case allowing for additional attachment of H&B top bags or other luggage. The Xplorer range of cases is available in natural anodized aluminum or black anodized aluminum. The construction includes impact resistant moldings, which are riveted to the aluminum with a generous feed of sealant to ensure a watertight seal. All the Xplorer bags come with integrated carrying handles.

Side cases are available in 30 and 40 liter sizes and are purchased individually. Most choose to make an Enduro set where one side is sized different from the other to offset the muffler. The Xplorer line offers a top case in a 45 liter version that will accept one full faced helmet. Several accessories for the Xplorer side cases include carrying handle straps, shoulder straps, tool kit, inner bags, and a two liter canister complete with holding plate which can be used for additional gasoline or water according to the riders needs. Water bottles are available, however they do not come with the actual water bottle shown. These water bottle holders and canisters will require drilling by the customer. Expandable top bags are available which mount to the lids of side cases through the tie down points molded into the case for additional storage. Accessories for the top cases include a backrest and top railing that can be mounted from left to right or front to back, available in black or silver.

External Dimensions: 15.4 x 19.7 x 9in / Internal Dimensions: 14.5 x 15.5 x 7.7in / Weight: 11lb

Customers praised these aluminum motorcycle cases as "well made" with excellent locking mechanisms and attractive finish. They're functional, waterproof, and fit various bikes well. Shoppers loved the top-opening design and soft corners. Minor issues: lid alignment can be tricky, and some expected metal hinges at this price point.

Explorer Case Review.

I bought a set of 20 liter Explorer cases for my KTM 390 Adventure. They are well made. Their shape bodes well for holding up to the occasional trail bike drop. That shape also can protect a leg that comes in contact with one: "soft corners". The locking mechanisms are first rate, both to the bike and for the lid. Finish is nice too. Can't go wrong with H&B in my book.

perfect solution for my bike

LOVE these bags. There are not many options for my 2007 BMW K1200S and these look great on my bike - much more functional than the stock bags.

Xplorer cases on T120

They snap right onto the mount. Look good, too.

So far they have performed

So far they have performed well, for the price I would have expected metal hinges and locking tabs.

Simply Fantastic!

Put these on my Triumph T120 and they look and function better than I ever hoped. I had previously purchased Givi Trecker 33L cases but never put them on the bike...they looked abnormally huge with the T120. These Xplorer 30L cases, despite offering nearly identical capacity, look so much better and are more scaled with the bike. And I'm so stinking pleased they open from the top. I've had bikes with cases featuring the side opening style and I loathed them.

These are easy to lock and all four locks are keyed the same so you only have to carry one key (each back locks to the bike and has locking lids = 4 locks). One of the bags was a pretty tight squeeze to get on the mounting frame, but with a little silicone spray we managed to make it happen. I haven't taken the bags off, so I cannot attest to whether it will continue to be tight.

Everything was simple to install, and I did not have to relocate my turn signals. Note: I have a special edition T120 without a rear fender...It believe all other T120s require turn signal relocation, and the mounting frame kit (bike specific and purchased separately from the cases) comes with the relocation bracket.

I would buy these again in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone looking for utility, quality, and excellent looks in a waterproof hard bag!
