Not as advertised

The part arrived in a timely manner and was packaged with a generous amount of extra cushioning. However, once unwrapped I was extremely disappointed to discover that the only portion of the part that was actually metal was the perforated section in the middle. A majority portion was hard plastic which was not mentioned in the item description. Being in such close proximity to such a hot component as the catalytic converter on a Speed Twin is not ideal. The major problem is that it is not a robust design compared with the OEM version which is 100% powder coated aluminum. I would not recommend this item.

Simple Install, great product!

The skid plate took less than 20 minutes to install on my 2021 Triumph Speed Twin. Fit perfectly, really clean look and made from a thick piece of metal that should provide good protection.
