This is a lightweight, well-made guard.

It is easy to remove for cleaning the lamp when the bugs get too thick, although the space between it and the lense is enough to allow you to slide in a towel soaked with hot water, then holds it so you can let it sit a minute. Slide it out and you are on your way again.
