What is Spindle Bobbin Crash Protection?

Produced from injection-moulded matt black nylon, EP Front Spindle Bobbins for the Triumph Tiger 900 offer discreet yet strong protection. With the additional support from the aluminium inner, the spindle bobbins aim to be the first to take impact in an incident and hold the expensive front forks, spindle retainers and brake calipers away from harm.  The innovative EP design allows the nylon bobbins to rotate above the aluminium to decrease wear and stress on the wheel.

Perfect for protecting those forks from drop damage. Just added these to the Triumph Tiger 900 RP and have already seen how useful they are after a couple of trail drops.

Not bad but could be a bit more attractive for the price.

This slider spindle uses 13mm lock nuts on both ends which I liked better than the model I bought from the dealer and broke by over tightening it. One end has the long threads and the other end short. In my opinion the short end lock should come pre-tightened. I wrapped a towel around the spindle clamped down and tightened the lock nut before installing, if not nut on the short end wont get inserted all the way. Rear the same.
