A Must-Have for the Transalp!
These are a must-have for the Transalp. Installation was pretty easy. The instructions are in German first, so it takes a little extra reading to figure things out, but once you get into it, everything is pretty straightforward.
The fit is excellent. Everything lined up without having to force, bend, or modify anything. The powder coat also looks really good and seems very durable.
Unfortunately, I’ve already had a chance to test them. My friend went down on the left side when his hand slipped off the controls, trying to do a wheelie, and the crash bars did exactly what they were supposed to do. No damage to the engine case at all.
Very happy with these. Easy to install, great fit, and they’ve already paid for themselves as far as I’m concerned.
Great sound! I just installed the full system on my Trident 660. The install went relatively smooth, thanks to a few YouTube videos. The Zard site had a video, but it really didn’t show much. I would have liked to have had an in depth installation guide. I had washers left over in the kit that I have no idea what they were for. As for the sound…..wow! On acceleration, it has a throaty growl. When decelerating, you get the backfire popping which is cool. When holding the throttle it is smooth and not too noisy for when you pass the cops. The only thing I don’t like, is at idol it has a droning sound that is hard on the ears…kinda like a reverberation. You may like it, it’s a little much for me. The quality is great too. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the lack of installation instruction and the sound at idol. Very happy with the exhaust!!
