The only ways to remove the OEM fender off the back of a 08-09 model is to 1) cut it off (you don't want to do this), or 2) purchase an updated undertail piece that doesn't have an OEM fender connected to it. We provide this updated undertail in our CBR1000RR Undertail for 2008-2009 Models listing. The bracket mounts to the black plastic subframe closeout beneath the battery tray. You will need to drill two 1\/4\" holes through this plastic.
